I think this brooch is probably from the WWII years in the early 1940s. The metal is silver colored- not Sterling, but likely pot metal. The sailor appears to be saluting as his lady watcg=hes holding her fan. Their faces are faceted aqua glass and his shirt and her hate have clear rhinestone decorations. The figures are 2" high and the chatelaine chain i 5". They are in good condition for the age in which they were made and adorable when worn. They are nor marked.

I've had this chatelaine a number of years and have always enjoyed it. The palm tree is 2 1/2" tall ad 1 1/4" wide with blue and clear rhinestone decoration. Attached by two chains so that you can position him to be sleeping under the Palm is a figure underneath a sombrero sitting near a cactus decorated with clear rhinestones. These two figures appear to be harlequin or clown ballet dancers, a male and a female. They both wear conical hats, and the male figure has a ruffle around his neck and full sleeves. The female has the same kind of hat, but her costume is short sleeved with shoulder detail and a short skirt. The male dancer is 2 1/4 " tall by 1 3/4" wide from hand to hand.
