Necklaces like these are getting harder and harder to find. That isn't too hard to understand because most people who have them are reluctant to part with them. This necklace is 15 1/2" long with a spring ring clasp. Around the from is an intricate pattern of Bohemian garnets, sometimes called raspberry garnets because of their intense color. Many of these come from Victorian times, butI believe that this one is later likely from the early 1930s. "The metal is gilded as were many of these necklaces. Garnets were plentiful in those times, and not conidered precious stones, so very few of them were set in real gold. The necklace is in excellent condition and hasno marks.
