Some years ago I worked in the Los Angeles Jewelry District for a diamond dealer. All of our salesmen carried cubic zirconia samples for their own safety. The rings were 18K gold plated over either sterling or base metal, and set with czs, colored and clear. In stores these kinds of 18k gold plated Cubic Zirconia rings are quite expensive, but because I can get them from my diamond dealer friends, I can sell them for much less and they really are exquisite. Every so often, I contact my former boss and buy samples of rings no longer in the line. This ring is from a couple of years ago. It is a gold toned simple design, set with clear cubic zirconia - both round cut and marquise. It is a Size 6. None of these rings have ever been worn - just carried around in sample cases, so the ring shank has no wear, and the stones are brilliant. This particular one still has a paper tag that says cubic zirconia on one side, and Made in the USA on the other. These types of rings are great for those who like to wear jewelry when they travel or cruise, but don't wish to risk losing their real diamonds.
