From Germany in the 1930s.

A beautiful machine-age piece in true art deco style made of black and red galalith with chrome and rhinestone details. The pictures do not do justice to this magnificent item. This is a fantastic period piece that is a very wearable size, and in very good vintage condition.

This is a wonderful vintage unsigned August Bonaz penguin pin. The original art deco pin is black galalith (French Bakelite) with gold and silver paint and inset crystal rhinestones on the penguin's tummy. He is 2-3/4" tall and has a French trombone style pin back. This was purchased in Paris after the discovery of a collection of old Bonaz stock, never used, was discovered. There are a few signs of age but no noticeable damage. This identical penguin (only in green) is pictured on page 29 "...

I think this brooch is probably from the WWII years in the early 1940s. The metal is silver colored- not Sterling, but likely pot metal. The sailor appears to be saluting as his lady watcg=hes holding her fan. Their faces are faceted aqua glass and his shirt and her hate have clear rhinestone decorations. The figures are 2" high and the chatelaine chain i 5". They are in good condition for the age in which they were made and adorable when worn. They are nor marked.

Here we have a Max Neiger Egyptian Revival brooch from the 1930s. It is pictured on the dust cover of the book, "Egyptian Revival:Jewelry and Design" by Nichols, Foote and Allison, and it is also pictured inside the book. For those who do not know the story, the Neiger Brothers were in business in Gablonz, Czechoslovakia, in the 1930s and they made a lot of pieces with Egyptian and Oriental Designs. Unfortunately both of the brothers were killed in the concentration camps during the war, and ...

This little guy is adorable. The pin is a fish done in shiny sterling silver and the body is set with inlaid abalone shell. The fish is just 1 1/4" x 1 1/4" - small and pretty much wearable on any outfit. It is in good shape, and it is marked as shown, and there is a tiny eagle mark on one fin.

This is a beautifully detailed elephant brooch, approximately 2" x 2". The metal is antiqued or dark gold color, and there is a howdah (or Houdah) and a mahout or driver, along with a passenger in the howdah who surely must be very wealthy. Perhaps a Maharajah? It is decorated with turquoise colored cabochons, as well as one sapphire blue one in the middle, and faceted lighter blue sparkling rhinestones. This is a very old Whitby Jet bracelet with a center set with a carved shell cameo. The links are shiny and square, and the bracelet unstretched measures between 6 1/4" and 6 1/2". I have a six inch wrist and it is a bit too large for me. The square links are 5/8". The top link has an oval jet piece 1"x3/4" and it is set with a shell cameo depicting a lovely Victorian lady. The bracelet is in good vintage condition, with no problems.

This is a well-known and hard-to-find set in very good condition. It is shown on page 353 of Julia Carroll's book, Collecting Costume Jewelry 202. She feels that the set can be attributed to Hobe because a signed necklace was shown on line that matched exactly. However, this set is not marked, and I am not comfortable attributing unmarked vintage. So - we'll let it stand on its own merits which are considerable.

First of all, the set is big - the larger of the figured pieces are 2" x 1 3/4...
