This is really a beautiful old piece - gold plated over sterling and made to look like an enameled pansy bloom. There is a brilliant blue faceted rhinestone prong set in the middle. The diameter each way is about 1 3/4". The metal is nice and shiny, and the clip works well. The only damage to the enamel is a tiny round spot that you should be able to see in the close up picture, right at about 11:00 on the top flower petal. The rest of it is perfect...

This is a very hard to find set of penguin fur clips. They are pictured in a number of jewel collectors' books, so I am sure many will recognize them. They measure approx. 1 1/2" Tall and have a faux pearl belly and their costumes are black and orange enamel decorated with clear rhinestones. The male penguin is all ready for the next formal occasion with his top hat and cane. The female is plainer. They appear to be made of pot metal and their clips both work well...
