This is a nice vintage lucite pin, probably from the 1950s - not as early as some I have, but still very nice. The lucite is rootbeer colored, and the seahorse has a clear sparkling rhinestone eye as well as three more rhinestones on his tail. The pin is 3 1/4" long and 1" wide at the widest part. The pin is in excellent condition with no problems and it has a safety

This is an old Haskell brooch in shades of blue set in Haskell trademark Russian gold. There are two large opaque cabochons, tiny seed pearls, and faceted blue glass stones, a couple of which have small flea bites on them. It is 2" by 1 1/3". The pin is in fair condition for its age, I think. It has the old horseshoe Haskell mark, as shown.

This is a beautiful sterling silver Victorian lorgnette. It is intact, complete with glass lenses - so much more elegant than the reading glasses we find today. Closed the lorgnette is 4" long and there is a bale on the end so that it could be worn on a chain or watch pin. There is a lever on one side which releases the glasses - very clever...

This is a large brooch - 3" wide and with the chain dangle about 2" from top to bottom. It made of gold toned metal, and is set with lots of various sized clear sparkling rhinestones. The brooch is marked and I have shown you the mark. Aside from the mark, it also says "Made in USA." When I first saw the brooch, I thought it might be an Ora piece done for the Shriners, but I don't think that mark is Ora...

This is an Art Deco Brooch depicting the head and shoulders of an Egyptian figure. It is likely from the Egyptian Revival period of the 1930s. It is made of gold toned metal - approximatly 2" x 1 3/4" in size. The enameling on the face, headpiece, and costume is extremely well done and almost entirely intact, which is unusual for a piece this old. There is little sign of wear on either the front or the back, and there is a very worn, difficult to read, Germany stamp on the back.

I've had this big guy for a lot of years and have enjoyed wearing the pin. t never fails to bring complements. The fish is 3" from the end of his sword to the tip of his tail. The golden colr finssit up 1" atop the body. The bakelite is striated to look like fish scales a there are two rows of clear rhinestones around his neck and the eye is red paint and a little i worn off. Other than that, he is in good shape and unmarked.

This is really a beautiful old piece - gold plated over sterling and made to look like an enameled pansy bloom. There is a brilliant blue faceted rhinestone prong set in the middle. The diameter each way is about 1 3/4". The metal is nice and shiny, and the clip works well. The only damage to the enamel is a tiny round spot that you should be able to see in the close up picture, right at about 11:00 on the top flower petal. The rest of it is perfect...

This is a very old Hobe brooch - if you check the mark, you will see that the modified triangular shape is a very old one. Te brooch is very ornate, - it is 2 1/2" from side to side and about the same in the center from the top to the bottom of the tassels. There are three bezel set glass stones - green, amethyst, and pink colors, and if you look at the bezel settings closely, you can see that they are irregular indicating that they were hand made without the precision of machinery...

Finally, after two years of trying, I have gotten my hands on a "Flash Gordon" Sobral purse. Flash Gordon was the series Sobral made of discarded computer mother boards. He found that the metal on these boards was copper, so he polished it and embedded the pieces into black resin. Like everything else Sobral does - no two pieces are exactly alike.

For the unitiated, Sobral jewelry is designed by Jackie Brazil and is made in Buenos Aires...

I think this is one of the handsomest guys I've ever seen. The blackamoor figure has a black matte finish face, and a magnificent costume with red and clear rhinestones, black and gold enamel, all in a gold plated setting. He measures 2 1/2" x 2" and is unusual in the fact that the ribbon goes through his hoop earrings. There is no pin, nor is there a place for a chain. I haven't seen many pieces like it...

This is a very pretty vintage pin. It is signed SARAH COV. for SARAH COVENTRY. This design is called Galaxy and is circa 1960. The brooch is done in a gold colored metal with a gorgeous design that is set with colorful elongated plastic stones, sparkling aurora borealis rhinestones, and lustrous faux pearls. The plastic stones are in colors of coral, blue, green and turquoise. The brooch measures 2 7/8" across. It is in very good vintage condition with little or no wear apparent...

This is a very pretty choker necklace - 3 strands of sparkling beads. With the extender they can extend to 18". The yellow and orange beads are faceted and separated by tiny black beads. The gold beads are regular orange beads with a pierced gold colored covering. The clasp and metal parts on the necklace are gold colored. The beads are in very good condition, and they are not marked.

I know that red and yellow beads doesn't sound very appetizing, but somehow this combination works here. I think the beads are lucite because the string is not heavy. THe red beads are cone shaped and there are small yellow rondells in between. The cones go from large to small in the back. The strand is 30" long and does not have a clasp. It is long enough to just slip over your head. The necklace is in very good condition with no problems, and it is not marked.

I believe this set dates back to the 1960's. It is a pin - 4 1/2" wide in a very modernist style. The matching earrings are screw backs, and they each 1" x 3/4". The set is in good condition but could use some polishing. The brooch is marked, as shown.

This is a fun pin from the 1930s - I guess designed by somebody who liked to party. It consists of a cream colored sombrero with three booze bottles hanging from it. One says rum, one - gin, and one- scotch. A little something for everyone. The sombrero is a bit less than 2"x2" and the bottles hang about two inches. The pin is in good condition except for some of the coating that is beginning to come off the the cords holding the bottles. The pin is not marked.
